The Freestyle Alligator Wrestling got underway at the OIV Amphitheater located at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. The FAWC brings in wild alligators and it's the luck of the draw which competitor gets matched with which alligator. Each competitor gets 7 minutes to show the judges different combinations of moves to win points. The competition continues Saturday night at 8p.m., cost is $25.

The 2nd Annual Seminole Pow Wow takes place this weekend at the Seminole Okalee Indian Village and inside Hard Rock Live this weekend. The Wildlife & Snake & Alligator Shows are at 11 & 3:30 on Saturday, 11a.m. on Sunday at the Okalee Indian Village located by the Renegade restaurant and Improv. The Alligator wrestling competition is at 8p.m Friday and Saturday and cost is $25. Inside the Hard Rock Live the Pow Wow runs through Sunday with traditional dancing , competitions, and vendors.Cost is $10 for adults/ $6.00 kids 5-12

The Gipsy Kings consist of two bands of brothers: the Reyes (Nicolas, Canut, Paul, Patchai, Andre) and the Baliardos (Tonino, Paco, Diego). The Reyes and Baliardo boys were the offspring of Spanish gypsy families that had fled into France to escape Spain’s Civil War. They grew up roaming the south of France, working harvests and making music. These real life gypsy decedents took Palm Beach by storm last night when they played to a near sold out crowd at the Kravis Center. Two incredibly colorful sets of South American rumba music got the audience members out of their seats to dance in the aisles. During the intermission, $1600.00 was raised for local charities by selling back stage passes to audience members.

Wade Boggs, known for his part in helping the New York Yankees win the World Series in 1996, met with fans and signed autographs at the NYY Steak at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The clouds parted just long enough at the Pompano Beach Ampitheatre for Chicago to play to a sold-out crowd. Chicago always brings high energy with 9 musicians on the stage, smiles from the infamous horn section and the best of it's songs to please the audience.Chicago is a huge supporter of the American Cancer Society and brought the largest bidder,local James Daycock, to come on stage to sing "If You Leave Me Now" solo. Daycock received a standing ovation and the band Chicago also brought everyone to their feet during their encore. Chicago always delivers.

The 5th annual Blues, Brews and BBQ started off Friday with the Bob Miller band and cigar smoke out. Saturday, music from Shane Dwight and the BBQ competition kicks off at 3p.m. with headliner Bobby Blue Band at 7p.m. Tickets are $40 to sample all the BBQ and over 100+ beers or meals and individual beers/drinks are for sale. There is no cost to attend the event.

Yanni kicked off their 80-show, 2012 US tour at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL on April 17, 2012 with an absolutely amazing performance. Joking while on stage that he has a home only 20 minutes from the venue, Yanni said "it is as if you are all in my living room!" Yanni performed with his 12 piece orchestra for over 2 hours with music from all walks of his career. The show was much more than a one-man piano show - Throughout the night, Yanni continued to showcase each of the band member's talents with long solos. The over-capacity crowd at the Kravis Center couldn't get enough and demanded three encores. Yanni will return for one more performance at the Kravis on Wednesday before hitting the road with his world class band.
